Women have been doing this for ages, yet it feels like you and your baby are the only ones to have ever experienced this together. Right as you reach your breaking point, you tap into your greatest reserves for this last burst of energy. You WORK with your body to birth your baby. You reach below and your baby is born into your hands. His cries fill the room in the best way. He has your dark hair. Beaming up at you, his eyes make the connection that you are his mother. He is earthside. You share tears of joy with your partner. You both have become parents, together. This is undoubtedly THE best day of both your lives. Taking turns doing skin-to-skin for warmth and bonding. You latch him for his first time, because being able to breastfeed means so much to you, and just like that, you are connected again, as one. You are his mother.

FAQs
Will I meet you before my birth?
Yes! We will meet at your prenatal/third trimester meeting to discuss your birth.
When should I book my birth with you?
The sooner the better. I generally limit the number of births I take per month. If you know that I am the photographer for you, it is best to secure your spot sooner than later, and also helps to break up your payments if you’re opting for the payment plan!
When will you arrive to my birth?
As your birth photographer/videographer, I will come to you when you are in active labor. As your doula, I will come to you at the onset of active labor, or when you feel like you are ready for me to join you.
How long will you stay?
I will stay as long as I need to while you labor. I will take breaks as needed to let you do your thing. After the birth, I will stay for the full golden hour which is usually about 2 hours.
What if I go into labor in the middle of the night?
Babies come when they want to. Going into labor in the middle of the night is common, and totally expected. I am on call for you 24/7 in those last few weeks, so I am ready for it!
What if you don’t make it in time?
Communication is most crucial for this. Sometimes birth is TOTALLY unpredictable, and in the event of a precipitous labor, I will still come ready to photograph everything, including all of the golden hour.
What if I have a cesarean?
Whether planned, or not, I will photograph every step of the day- hospital permitting. You should speak with your provider beforehand, and let them know that you’d like to have your certified professional birth photographer/doula in the operating room.
Will you share my birth photos?
I love sharing birth photos. I love normalizing birth, and showing others what birth can look like, in every scenario. Only with permission, though. Most of my clients love sharing their photos to empower other women, but if you prefer to keep your memories private, I will ALWAYS honor that decision. Your privacy matters to me.
How many photos will I receive and when?
Within 24 hours of your birth, I will share 1-2 photos, which can be used for your birth announcement if you’d like. The rest of the gallery will generally take 2-4 weeks to receive. I hand edit every single photo and make sure they are consistent to make a beautiful gallery. The amount you receive will depend on your package selection.
